St Joseph River Yacht Club

The SJRYC has a proud history of producing some of the region's finest swimmers since its swim team's inception. We honor these swimmers by giving you an glimpse of the teams to which they belonged. Some of these photos have been donated by proud parents or the athletes themselves however you may still notice that gaps exist in the archive. If you happen to have a team photo from one of the missing years, please contact Lucas Smith (Club Administrator). We will scan the photo and ensure that it can be appreciated by the entire membership. Thank you!

Important Information

Swim Suits: Suits may be purchased at D&J Sport (www.djsports.com).

Swim Team Registration: Registration occurs at the Spring Work Session, during the two clinics or contact Julie Warmbein, 2010 Head Swim Mom.

Cost: There is a per child charge for swim team membership.

Inclement Weather: Parents, use discretion.

Sprinkling – There will be practice.

Pouring, thunder or lightening – There will not be practice.

Swim Meets: We will no longer use sign-up sheets for meets. All swimmers will be entered in the meet line-up unless the coach is informed of a conflict. Kids unable to attend a meet must let the Head Coach know (call or email) by 5pm Monday so that they can plan accordingly. Participation is required in two meets - one home & one away - to swim in conference.

Newsletters: Newsletters will be distributed on Fridays (doughnut day). Please pick them up or ask your child to get one.

Private Swim Lessons: Lessons are available. Contact a "Swim Mom" or Pool Committee Member for information.
